Nick recently transitioned from a successful sixteen-year career as a partner in the area's largest law firm to join his wife, Lauren, in the world of Beachy Beach Real Estate full time. Working together and combining talents, Nick and Lauren provide a sophisticated approach to real estate that you will encounter rarely. Nick’s many years of experience in law and, before that, in environmental regulation, influence Nick’s approach to being your real estate agent and the challenges and uncertainties that can arise for both sellers and buyers.
Nick served for many years as the city attorney for Mexico Beach and as general counsel for Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. He also assisted some of the area's largest developers and cities with various matters. Moreover, Nick helped manage a successful real estate closing department, so he has experience on all sides of the closing table. In addition, Nick served over five years on the Panama City Downtown Improvement Board, much of it as the chairman. He chose this way to help his community in part because of his passion for architecture and real estate. These interests are rooted in his upbringing in a historic Virginia area and his experiences with his grandfather, who was a successful broker, builder, and developer.
Nick is a self-taught student of architecture, designing his own colonial Virginia and Louisiana plantation inspired home from the ground up. After graduating as a valedictorian of his high school, he went on to double major in biology and environmental science at the University of Virginia. He then arrived in Panama City in 2002 where he worked in the environmental field for a couple of years before heading off to the University of Florida for law school. Go Gators! Nick also has many years of involvement with the local chambers of commerce, including a five-year tenure on the Bay County Leadership Bay Steering Committee with one year as its chair. Nick’s newest hobby is all things electric cars. However, his lifelong passions are coral reefs, tropical islands, English bulldogs, and cooking. If you ever want to talk about St. Lucia or French Polynesia, he’s your guy!
Nick is Lauren’s biggest fan as she assists numerous families and investors every month with their journeys to become Florida property owners, while still closing deals in three different states. Nick and Lauren partner on all of their real estate projects, so you always will have two professionals to call on when you work with the beninaTEAM!
